Crankshaft Front Seal - Install - Engine in Chassis
Installation Procedure

Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life. |
- Clean the seal surface on the crankshaft and the front cover.
- Place crankshaft front seal (6) on the crankshaft. Push the crankshaft front seal into position. This will dislodge the shipping sleeve.

- Install nuts (7) and the washers.
- Place adapter (4) and pulley (3) on vibration damper (2). Install eight bolts (5). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 55 ± 10 N·m (41 ± 7 lb ft).

- Install bolts (1) and the washers. Tighten all bolts evenly to a torque of 240 ± 40 N·m (175 ± 30 lb ft).
- Install the drive belt and apply the correct tension.
End By:
- Install the radiator and fan group. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Radiator and Fan Group - Install".
- Install the hood. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hood - Install".
