    (C) 8-pin connector A-C14

    (D) Water tank harness

    (E) Work tool harness

  1. Connect the 165-4894 Harness (1) to the 8-pin connector (C). See Illustration 3.

Note: If equipped, connect the work tool harness (E). If equipped, connect the water tank harness (D). See Illustration 3.

  1. Install the receptacle cap on the receptacle for harness (1) if the receptacle is not used.

  1. Secure this harness connection to the link clip with a cable strap (3) .

  1. Route harness (1) toward the cab. Follow the routing of the platform harness. Install cable straps (3) in order to secure harness (1) to the platform harness.

Note: Leave any excess of harness (1) in the engine compartment. Secure the excess of harness (1) to existing harnesses with cable straps (3) .

Installing the 186-3362 Harness

Note: The illustrations in this section picture the installation details with the cab in the raised position.

    (2) 186-3362 Harness

    (3) 3S-2093 Cable Strap

  1. Route harness (2) along the cab harness to the back of the fuse panel. Then route harness (2) down the back wall and under the cab floor. Secure harness (2) to the existing harnesses with cable straps (3). See Illustration 5.

Note: The instructions that follow reflect placement of the control device on the left wall of the operator's compartment. Therefore, the 186-3362 Harness (2) is installed on the left wall of the operator's compartment. If placement of the control device on the right wall of the operator's compartment is preferred, simply install the 186-3362 Harness (2) on the right wall. Use the same technique that is described and route harness (2) to the right wall instead of routing the harness to the left wall.

    (2) 186-3362 Harness

    (3) 3S-2093 Cable Strap

  1. Continue to route harness (2) under the cab floor to the left front edge of the cab floor. Then direct harness (2) to the left wall of the operator's compartment. Secure harness (2) to the existing wiring under the seat with cable straps (3). See Illustration 6.

  1. Route harness (2) into the left "A" Post. Mount the 4P-7581 Clip (4) inside the "A" Post and secure the harness to the clip with a cable strap (3). See Illustration 9.

Note: The 4P-7581 Clip (4) is installed under the nut for the top screw that secures the step assembly. If the step assembly is not installed, use the 127-2170 Screw (5), the 8T-4224 Hard Washer (6), and the 5C-7261 Nut (7) in order to mount clip (4) .

Completing the Installation

Note: The 142-8633 Rocker Switch (8) and the 113-8491 Fuse (9) are required in order to provide power to the auxiliary electrical control circuit. You must install the switch and the fuse if these parts are not already installed on your machine as part of the installation of the work tool wiring group. The installation instructions for rocker switch (8) and fuse (9) are provided below.

  1. Install the 142-8633 Rocker Switch (8) .

    1. Push the bottom of rocker switch (8) in order to energize the auxiliary electrical control circuit.

    1. Measure the voltage at the receptacle for harness (2). The voltage should be 12 VDC.

Note: If no voltage is measured, check the fuse, the rocker switch, and the harness connections.

    1. Ensure that the polarity of the voltage is correct.

Note: Failure to observe the correct polarity of the voltage between the host machine and the snowblower will result in a blown fuse and/or damage to the electrical components. See Table 2.
