Feed Roller - Disassemble

Disassembly Procedure

------ WARNING! ------

The harvester head frame may tip over when it is in the vertical position. Personal injury or death may result if this occurs. Secure the frame to the yoke with a chain or similar restraint prior to working on the harvester head.

Note: Chains should be replaced one at a time in order to maintain the proper orientation of the chains to the feed rollers.

  1. Ensure that the harvester head frame is in the VERTICAL position. Fully open the feed roller arms. Secure the frame of the harvester head to the yoke with a suitable chain. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Preparation for Disassembly" for detailed instructions.

  1. Remove five screws (2). Remove ring (3) .

  1. If the chain is not broken, cut the chain. Remove the pieces of the chain from feed roller (4). The chain is held onto feed roller (4) by having a link of the chain placed into a slot on the front and back of feed roller (4) .
