The lubricating oil tank is located on the head by the hydraulic control valve. Position the head in the horizontal position. Open the filler cap that is located on the top of the lubricating oil tank. Add enough oil in order to fill the lubricating oil tank.
Biodegradable oil is suitable for lubricating the saw chain. Add lubricating oil daily in order to ensure that the lubricating oil tank is full.

- Remove breather (1), ball (3) and spring (5) from the filler cap assembly.
- Ensure that spring (5) is clean and free of corrosion.
Note: Spring (5) should move freely in fitting (4) .
- Place breather (1) upside-down on a flat surface.
- Place the steel ball (3) on the breather (1) .
- Lightly, strike steel ball (3) by using a brass hammer. This will form a better seal.
