Personal injury or death can result from escaping fluid under pressure. Escaping fluid under pressure, even a very small pin-hole size leak, can penetrate body tissue and cause serious injury and possible death. If fluid is injected into your skin, it must be treated by a doctor familiar with this type of injury. Always use a board or cardboard when checking for a leak.

Perform visual checks first when you are troubleshooting a problem. Before you make these checks, stop the engine and engage the parking brake. Shift the direction control lever to the NEUTRAL position.

1. Check the oil level in the rear differential. Refer to the following documents.

2. If the machine is equipped with All Wheel Drive, check the oil in the front differential. Refer to the following documents.

3. Check the oil level in the rear final drives. Refer to the following documents.

4. If the machine is equipped with All Wheel Drive, check the oil in the front final drives. Refer to the following documents.

5. Check the oil level in the brake reservoir. Refer to the following documents.

6. If the machine is equipped with All Wheel Steer, check the oil level in the hydraulic oil tank. Refer to the following documents.

7. Check the oil level for the axle oscillation bearings. Refer to the following documents.

8. Inspect the rear drive shaft for damage.

9. If the machine is equipped with All Wheel Drive, inspect the front drive shaft for damage.

10. If the machine is equipped with All Wheel Drive, inspect the universal joints in the front axle for damage.

11. If the machine is equipped with All Wheel Steer, inspect the universal joints in the rear axle for damage.

12. Check all oil lines and all connections for damage and for leaks.

13. Inspect all of the control linkages for damage.
