CID 0283 FMI 05 Filter Restrict Lamp open/short to +batt
Conditions Which Generate This Code:
The ECM detects all of the following conditions:
- The ECM detects a short to +battery or an open circuit.
- The ECM has been powered for at least two seconds.
- The ECM tried to illuminate the lamp but the current draw was too low.
System Response:
Since the lamp circuit is malfunctioning, the air filter restriction lamp may not illuminate. The ECM will log the diagnostic code. The diagnostic code may be viewed on a display module or on ET.
Further troubleshooting is required.
