Replacement oil level gauges can be installed on the above Articulated Trucks without the need to open the brake, steering and hoist tank. The oil level gauges are purchased as part of a kit. Refer to Table 1 below. Use the following procedure if it is necessary to replace one of the oil level gauges.
Note: The D400E Series II Ejector has two 192-7620 Oil Level Gauges. The D350E Series II and the D400E Series II Articulated Trucks use a 192-7620 Oil Level Gauge for the front gauge and a 192-7619 Oil Level Gauge for the rear gauge. The 725, 730 and 730 EJECTOR have a single 192-7619 Oil Level Gauge. The 735, 740 and 740 EJECTOR have a 192-7619 Oil Level Gauge and a 192-7620 Oil Level Gauge.

- Before you remove oil level gauge (1) from the machine, perform the following:
- Clean the area around the oil level gauge in order to remove any possible source of contamination of the hydraulic oil.
- Relieve the tank pressure.
- Drain hydraulic oil from the tank so that the level of hydraulic oil in the tank is below the oil level gauge.
- Clean the area around the oil level gauge in order to remove any possible source of contamination of the hydraulic oil.

- Loosen bolts (2) .
Note: Bolts (2) should require no more than two to three revolutions counterclockwise in order to allow the oil level gauge to be withdrawn. If bolts (2) are loosened by more than three revolutions, the nuts may fall into the tank.
- When bolts (2) are loosened sufficiently, withdraw oil level gauge (1) from the hydraulic tank assembly.
- Prepare the new oil level gauge for installation.
As nut (3) is tightened, rubber sleeve (5) expands. This secures the oil level gauge in position. Ensure that the rubber sleeve is arranged in the correct way. Refer to Illustration 2. Ensure that O-ring seal (4) is not omitted and tighten the nut by hand. Tighten until the nut just touches the rubber sleeve.

- Prepare nut (3) and rubber sleeve (5) at both ends of oil level gauge (1) .

- Install the new oil level gauge onto the hydraulic tank assembly. Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 7 N·m (5 lb ft).
Note: The torque value of 7 N·m (5 lb ft) that is included in the procedure is critical. Do not exceed this value.
