Harvester Heads:

HH45 (PIN: 2JZ1-UP)

HH55 (PIN: 3MZ1-UP)

HH65 (PIN: 4RZ1-UP)

HH75 (PIN: 5WZ1-UP)

Description of Change: An improved breather cap is now used on the lubrication tank. The new breather cap provides more clearance for the spring. The new breather cap can be purchased or the former cap can be modified.

Adaptable To: The improved breather cap is effective with HH45 (PIN: 2JZ166-UP), HH55 (PIN: 3MZ219-UP), HH65 (PIN: 4RZ268-UP), and HH75 (PIN: 5WZ239-UP) Harvester Heads. The improved breather cap is adaptable to first production of the listed harvester heads. The 156-3862 Plug can be modified, or a 186-3492 Plug can be purchased as a direct replacement. The modification procedure to improve the original breather cap is given below.

Modification Procedure

1. Refer to Service Manual module, RENR3007, "Disassembly and Assembly, HH45, HH55, HH65, and HH75 Harvester Head", "Preparation for Disassembly" for instruction on preparing the harvester head for disassembly.

2. Remove 156-0285 Filler Breather Cap Group (1) from the lubrication tank.

3. Remove 156-3862 Plug (2) from the 156-0285 Filler Breather Cap Group .

(A) 8 ± .2 mm (0.315 ± 0.008 inch). (B) 12.5 ± .2 mm (0.492 ± 0.008 inch)

4. Bore the hole in the 156-3862 Plug to the dimensions that are shown in the above illustration.

5. Assemble the plug and install the breather cap into the lubrication tank.
