Rubber bumpers (1) and (2) in the 155-3584 Steering Control have been removed. The removal of these bumpers helps to ensure that the calibration of the steering control levers is accurate.

Adaptable To: This change to the 155-3584 Steering Control is effective with 572R Pipelayer (PIN: HZ391). This change is adaptable to 572R Pipelayers (PIN: 2HZ380-390).

Existing 155-3584 Steering Controls can be reworked by removing rubber bumpers (1) and (2). Upon removal of the bumpers, mechanical stops (3) and (4) must be adjusted in order to get the proper operating range of the steering levers. Refer to Service Manual Module, SENR8367, "Power Train Electronic Control System - Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting", "Calibrations" for the proper procedure to set the duty cycle on the position sensors for the steering levers.
