Three special instructions are now available for installing auxiliary lines kits on 416C Backhoe Loaders which are in the field. The auxiliary lines kits enable the operation of hydraulic hammers which can be attached to the backhoe.
The Special Instruction, REHS0229-01, "Field Installation of the 135-7195 Auxiliary Lines Kit for a Backhoe Loader with a Six Bank Valve Hydraulic Arrangement," contains procedures to add a seventh control valve to the backhoe control valve. The seventh control valve is required in order to operate the hydraulic hammer which is attached to the 135-7195 Auxiliary Lines Kit .
The Special Instruction, REHS0229-01 also includes procedures to install a valve control to the new control valve. The 135-7195 Auxiliary Lines Kit is not designed for machines with extendable sticks.
The Special Instruction, REHS0230, "Field Installation of the 135-7196 Auxiliary Lines Kit," is specifically written for machines which have seven control valves in the backhoe control valve. However, the seventh control valve does not have a valve control. A valve control must be installed in order to operate the hydraulic hammer which is attached to the auxiliary lines kit. The REHS0230 includes procedures to install a valve control and the auxiliary lines kit. The 135-7196 Auxiliary Lines Kit is not designed for machines with extendable sticks.
The Special Instruction, REHS0231, "Field Installation of the 135-7197 Auxiliary Lines Kit," is specifically written for machines which have extendable sticks.
All of the special instructions can be obtained through the normal literature ordering channels. The special instructions can also be found on the Caterpillar Service Information System (SIS).
