Introduction

This Special Instruction provides the necessary information that is required to install the 159-3693 Cab Visors on the machines that are listed above.

There are four sun visors that need to be mounted inside the operator's compartment. The 174-7346 Visor is mounted horizontally on the front window. The 174-7348 Visor is mounted horizontally on the rear window. The 174-7347 Visor is mounted vertically on the left window. The 174-7349 Visor is mounted vertically on the right window.

Do not perform any procedure that is outlined in this publication, until you understand the information that is contained in this document. Do not order parts until you understand the information that is contained in this document.

Installation Procedure for the 159-3693 Cab Visors Kit

Left Window

1. Locate 174-7337 Bracket (4) on the gusset that is located on the top right hand side of the left window frame.

2. Use 174-7337 Bracket (4) to mark the hole location. The location of the hole should be 25 mm (.98 inch) from the top of the gusset and 38 mm (1.50 inch) from the edge of the gusset.

3. Drill and tap a hole for an M4 screw with 0.7 mm thread into the gusset. Use a 3.3 mm (.130 inch) drill bit to drill the hole.

4. Install 174-7337 Bracket (4) to the gusset with one 131-3987 Screw (8) .

5. Locate 174-7337 Bracket (4) on the gusset that is located on the bottom right hand side of the left window frame.

6. Use 174-7337 Bracket (4) to mark the hole location. The location of the hole should be 42 mm (1.65 inch) from the bottom of the gusset and 28 mm (1.10 inch) from the edge of the gusset.

7. Drill and tap a hole for an M4 screw with 0.7 mm thread into the gusset. Use a 3.3 mm (.130 inch) drill bit to drill the hole.

8. Install 174-7337 Bracket (4) to the gusset with one 131-3987 Screw (8) .

9. Locate 174-7335 Bracket (3) on the left hand side of the left window frame.

10. Use 174-7335 Bracket (3) to mark the hole location. The location of the hole should be 68 mm (2.67 inch) from the top of the window frame and 20 mm (.79 inch) from the side of the window frame.

11. Drill and tap a hole for an M4 screw with 0.7 mm thread into the left side of the left window frame. Use a 3.3 mm (.130 inch) drill bit to drill the hole.

12. Install 174-7335 Bracket (3) to the side of the left window frame with one 131-3987 Screw (8) .

13. Locate 174-7335 Bracket (3) on the bottom left hand side of the left window frame.

14. Use 174-7335 Bracket (3) to mark the hole location. The location of the hole should be 320 mm (12.60 inch) from the bottom left hand side of the window frame.

15. Drill and tap a hole for an M4 screw with 0.7 mm thread into the bottom of the left window frame. Use a 3.3 mm (.130 inch) drill bit to drill the hole.

16. Install 174-7335 Bracket (3) to the bottom of the left window frame with one 131-3987 Screw (8) .

174-7347 Visor

17. Place two 174-7336 Rings (7) onto 174-7347 Visor (10). Refer to Illustration 1.

18. Install 174-7347 Visor (10) into 174-7337 Brackets (4) .

19. To secure 174-7347 Visor (10), tighten the screws on 174-7337 Brackets (4) .

20. Pull out 174-7347 Visor (10) in order to cover the window. Hook 174-7336 Rings (7) to 174-7335 Brackets .

21. Use 174-7339 Visor Kit (11) in order to cover the remaining space on the window.

Right Window

1. Locate 174-7337 Bracket (4) onto the gusset that is located on the top left hand side of the right window frame.

2. Use 174-7337 Bracket (4) to mark the hole location. The 174-7337 Bracket (4) should be against the top of the gusset. The location of the hole should be 38 mm (1.50 inch) from the edge of the gusset.

3. Drill and tap a hole for an M4 screw with 0.7 mm thread into the gusset. Use a 3.3 mm (.130 inch) drill bit to drill the hole.

4. Install 174-7337 Bracket (4) to the gusset with one 131-3987 Screw (8) .

5. Locate 174-7337 Bracket (4) onto the left hand side of the right window frame.

6. Use 174-7337 Bracket (4) to mark the hole location. The location of the hole should be 75 mm (2.9 inch) from the top of the control panel.

7. Drill and tap a hole for an M4 screw with 0.7 mm thread into the left hand side of the right window frame. Use a 3.3 mm (.130 inch) drill bit to drill the hole.

8. Install 174-7337 Bracket (4) to the left hand side of the right window frame with one 131-3987 Screw (8) .

9. Locate 174-7335 Bracket (3) onto the right hand side of the right window frame.

10. Use 174-7335 Bracket (3) to mark the hole location. The location of the hole should be 107 mm (4.2 inch) from the top right hand side of the right window frame.

11. Drill and tap a hole for an M4 screw with 0.7 mm thread into the right hand side of the right window frame. Use a 3.3 mm (.130 inch) drill bit to drill the hole.

12. Install 174-7335 Bracket (3) to the right hand side of the right window frame with one 131-3987 Screw (8) .

13. Locate 174-7335 Bracket (3) on the bottom right hand side of the right window frame.

14. Use 174-7335 Bracket (3) to mark the hole location. The location of the hole should be 337 mm (13.3 inch) from the bottom right hand side of the right window frame.

15. Drill and tap a hole for an M4 screw with 0.7 mm thread into the bottom of the right window frame. Use a 3.3 mm (.130 inch) drill bit to drill the hole.

16. Install 174-7335 Bracket (3) to the bottom of the right window frame with one 131-3987 Screw (8) .

174-7349 Visor

17. Place two 174-7336 Rings (7) onto 174-7349 Visor (1). Refer to Illustration 1.

18. Install 174-7349 Visor (1) into 174-7337 Brackets (4) .

19. To secure 174-7349 Visor (1) in place, tighten the screws on 174-7337 Brackets (4) .

20. Pull out 174-7349 Visor (1) and hook 174-7336 Rings (7) to 174-7335 Brackets (3) .

21. Use 174-7340 Visor Kit (2) to cover the remaining space on the window.

Rear Window

1. Locate 174-7337 Bracket (4) onto top inside part of the rear window frame.

2. Use 174-7337 Bracket (4) to mark the hole location. The location of the hole should be 100 mm (3.9 inch) from the right hand side of the rear window frame.

3. Drill and tap a hole for an M4 screw with 0.7 mm thread into the top inside part of the rear window frame. Use a 3.3 mm (.130 inch) drill bit to drill the hole.

4. Install 174-7337 Bracket (4) with one 131-3987 Screw (8) .

5. Repeat the procedure for the opposite side of the window.

6. Locate 174-7335 Bracket (3) onto the bottom right hand side of the rear window frame.

7. Use 174-7335 Bracket (3) to mark the hole location. The location of the hole should be 80 mm (3.1 inch) from the right hand side of the rear window frame.

8. Drill and tap a hole for an M4 screw with 0.7 mm thread into the bottom of the rear window frame. Use a 3.3 mm (.130 inch) drill bit to drill the hole.

9. Install 174-7335 Bracket (3) to the bottom of the rear window frame with one 131-3987 Screw (8) .

10. Repeat the procedure for the opposite side of the window.

174-7348 Visor

11. Place two 174-7336 Rings (7) onto 174-7348 Visor (5). Refer to Illustration 1.

12. Install 174-7348 Visor (5) into 174-7337 Brackets (4) .

13. To secure 174-7348 Visor (5) in place, tighten the screws on 174-7337 Brackets (4) .

Front Window

1. Locate 174-7337 Bracket (4) on the gusset that is located on the top left hand side of the front window frame.

2. Use 174-7337 Bracket (4) to mark the hole location. Mount 174-7337 Bracket (4) onto the gusset below the actuator on the door.

3. Drill and tap a hole for an M4 screw with 0.7 mm thread into the gusset that is located on the top left hand side of the front window frame. Use a 3.3 mm (.130 inch) drill bit to drill the hole.

4. Install 174-7337 Bracket (4) to the gusset with one 131-3987 Screw (8) .

5. Locate 174-7337 Bracket (4) on the gusset that is located on the top right hand side of the front window frame.

6. Use 174-7337 Bracket (4) to mark the hole location.

7. Drill and tap a hole for an M4 screw with 0.7 mm thread into the gusset that is located on the top right hand side of the front window frame. Use a 3.3 mm (.130 inch) drill bit to drill the hole.

8. Install 174-7337 Bracket (4) to the gusset with one 131-3987 Screw (8) .

9. Install 174-7335 Bracket (3) to the bottom of the front window by using the existing screw in the front panel.

10. Repeat this procedure for the left side of the front window.

174-7346 Visor

11. Place two 174-7336 Rings (7) onto 174-7346 Visor (6). Refer to Illustration 1.

12. Install 174-7346 Visor (6) into 174-7337 Brackets (4) .

13. To secure 174-7346 Visor (6) in place, tighten the screw on 174-7337 Brackets (4) .

14. Pull out 174-7346 Visor (6) and hook 174-7336 Rings (7) to 174-7335 Brackets (3) .

15. Use 174-7338 Visor Kit (9) to cover the remaining space on the window.
