Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the transmission hydraulic control valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Transmission Hydraulic Control Valve - Remove". The information is in this manual.

1. Remove directional valve (1) and speed control valve (2) from valve body (3) . Remove 24 bolts (4) and remove cover (5) from valve body (3) .

2. Separate valve body (3) from manifold valve (6) and center plate (7) .

3. Remove three bolts (8) , cover (9) and the O-ring seal from valve body (3) .

4. Remove piston (10) , spacers (11) , spring (12) , spring (13) and valve spool (14) from valve body (3) .

6. Remove ring (17) , retainer (18) , spring (19) and spring (20) from valve spool (16) .

8. Use Tooling (A) and remove ring (22) from valve spool (14) . Remove retainer (23) , spring (24) and ball (25) from valve spool (14) .

9. Remove dowels (26) and (27) from valve body (3) . Remove valve spool (28) , slug (29) , spring (30) and stop (31) from valve body (3) .
