Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the lower sheave block.

Note: The 583RPipelayer has three sheaves in the lower sheave block.

1. Put the lower sheave block in a horizontal position on wood blocks, as shown. Make sure that the heads of the bolts are in the upward position.

2. Remove two bolts (1) and two bolts (3). Remove spacer (4) and plate assembly (2) .

3. Remove washer (5), sheave assembly (6) and center plate (7) .

4. Remove washer (8) and sheave assembly (9) .

5. Remove yoke assembly (13). The weight of the yoke assembly is 85 kg (187 lb).

6. Remove washer (12). Remove pin (10) from plate assembly (11) .

7. Remove sleeve bearing (14) from each of the sheave assemblies.
