Track Roller - Disassemble

Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the track rollers.

  1. Use a hammer and a punch and drive the plug out of stopper (2) .

  1. Use a drill at a slow speed and a 12.7 mm (.50 inch) drill bit to remove stoppers (2) from the ends of the shafts.

  1. Remove six bolts (3) and retainer (1) from each side of the track roller.

  1. Remove O-Ring seal (5) from each retainer (1) .

    Note: Duo-Cone seals that are reused must be assembled and installed in the original position. Put identification marks on the seals so that the seals can be returned to the original position.

  1. Put identification marks on each Duo-Cone seal (4). Remove the Duo-Cone seal from each retainer (1) .

  1. Put identification marks on each Duo-Cone seal (6). Remove the two Duo-Cone seals and two toric stabilizers (7) from shaft (8) .

  1. Pull shaft (8) out of the track roller enough to fasten a hoist to the shaft.

  1. Fasten a hoist to shaft (8). Remove the shaft from track roller (9). The weight of the shaft is 19 kg (41 lb).
