Speed Sensor (Transmission) - Install

- Verify that all of the components of the speed sensor are clean and free of foreign material prior to installation.
- Inspect all components for wear and replace the components, if necessary.

Illustration 1 g00490580 - Install spacer (6) to housing (4).
- Position housing (4) and spacer (6) on the cover assembly. Be sure that the splines on the sensor shaft are engaged with the splines in the sensor rotor.
- Install the spacers, the grommets, the hard washers and bolts (5).
- Connect wire harness (3) to the speed sensor. Tighten the nut clockwise with Tool (A) (not shown) and insert the lockwire to the next hole in the clockwise direction.
