Hitch Cylinder - Assemble

Usage:

Assembly Procedure

Note: The standard cylinder is used for the following serial numbers: (PIN: 8DN215-UP1DR720-UP7DM1-UP)

  1. Install oil seal (7) and seal (8) on piston rod assembly (3) .

  1. Install cylinder head (11) and O-ring seal (9) on piston rod assembly (3) .

  1. Install wear ring (10), seal (2), piston (4), seal (5) and locknut (1) on piston rod assembly (3) .

  1. Tighten locknut (1) to a torque of 210 to 250 N·m (155.0 ± 185.0 lb ft).

  1. Install piston rod assembly (3) in cylinder assembly (6). Apply 169-5464 Quick Cure Primer in conjunction with 9S-3263 Thread Lock to the threads of cylinder head (11). Tighten to a torque of 340 to 400 N·m (250.0 to 295.0 lb ft).

End By: Install the hitch cylinder. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly Manual, "Hitch Cylinder - Install".
