Hitch (Lower Link) - Remove and Install
Removal Procedure
Challenger 35 (PIN: 8DN215-UP), Challenger 45 (PIN: 1DR720-UP) and Challenger 55 (PIN: 7DM1-UP)
- Attach a lifting strap and a suitable lifting device to lower link assembly.
Note: Machines that have draft pins require the use of a suitable puller in order to remove the pins. Do not remove pins by pounding with a hammer.
- Remove pin (1) and pin (2) .

- Remove bolts (3) and shield (4) .

- Remove the bolts and the retainer (not shown).
- Remove the draft pin and the lower link assembly. The weight of the lower link is 63 kg (140 lb).
Installation Procedure
- Attach a lifting strap and a suitable lifting device to lower link assembly.
- The weight of the lower link is 63 kg (140 lb). Install the link assembly and the draft pin.
