Improper attachment of attachments could result in injury or death. Do not operate this machine until you have positive indication that the coupler pins are fully engaged. Check for engagement by: 1. Push the tilt control to tilt the attachment down. 2. Put down pressure on the attachment. 3. Back the machine up and make sure there is not movement between the attachment and the coupler. |
Front Quick Coupler for Tools That Do Not Require Hydraulics
- Push the quick coupler lever forward in order to disengage the coupler pins.
- Tilt the coupler assembly forward.
Make sure that the coupler assembly is below the level of the hooks on the attachment that will be attached.
- Move the machine forward. Align the attachment hooks with the coupler assembly.
- Pull back on the lift lever in order to raise the coupler slightly. Raise the coupler until the coupler assembly contacts the attachment hooks and the attachment is lifted up slightly.
Make sure that the attachment is level from one side to the other side.
- Tilt back the coupler assembly until the alignment bar of the attachment contacts the coupler.
- Pull back on the coupler lever in order to engage the coupler pins into the attachment retainer holes.
Note: Ensure that the tool is firmly attached and continue with steps 7 through 9.
- Push the tilt lever forward in order to tilt the attachment downward.
- Push the lift lever forward in order to put downward pressure on the attachment.
- Back up the machine and make sure that there is no movement between the attachment and the coupler.
Steps 7 through 9 indicate that the coupler pins have fully engaged into the attachment retainer holes.

- Follow the procedure that is described in "Front Attachment Coupler for Tools That Do Not Require Hydraulics".
- Stop the engine.
- Move all of the hydraulic attachment control levers in order to relieve the pressure in the hydraulic lines.
- Return all of the levers to the HOLD position.
- Disconnect the hydraulic lines of the tool that will be used. Wipe off all foreign material.
- Remove the plugs and connect the lines.
- Install plugs on any unused connectors.
