Note: The parking brake lever should stop on the third detent or stop on the fourth detent.
If parking brake lever (10) is raised above the fourth detent, use the following procedure to adjust the parking brake.

- Install cable assembly (4) to mounting bracket (3). Install one jam nut (5) on each side of mounting bracket (3) .
- Install cable assembly (4) into clip (2). The clip is located on the rear cab mount on the left side of the machine.
- Disengage parking brake lever (7) .
- Install yoke (6) to cable assembly (4) .
- Place parking brake lever (10) to the second detent position.
- Adjust cable assembly (4) so that dimension (A) is equal to 35 mm (1.4 inch).
Note: Dimension (A) is used in order to adjust for wear in the parking brake.
- Tighten jam nuts (5) to a torque of 38 ± 7 N·m (28 ± 5 lb ft).
- Apply 89 N (20 lb) of force to lever (7) before yoke (6) is adjusted.
- Install yoke (6) to lever (7) with pin (9). Secure pin (9) with cotter pin (8) .
- Engage the parking after all adjustments are made. The parking brake should be applied on the fourth detent. If the parking brake is not applied on the fourth detent, repeat Step 5 through Step 10.
