Power from diesel engine (6) goes through the torque converter, and then through the input drive shaft to the transmission. The transmission has three-speed clutches and three direction clutches. Two clutches must be engaged at the same time in order to have power flow through the transmission.
Power goes from the output gear of the transmission planetary through the transfer gears, to the lower drive shaft and to the differential. The differential turns the axles that turn the planetary gears of the final drives.
