After Starting Engine

Usage:

65E 1GM

  • Gradually increase the engine speed to a minimum of 1200 rpm. When the voltmeter is in the second green zone, return the governor control lever to the LOW IDLE position.

    1. Operate the engine at low idle for approximately five minutes. Cycle all controls in order to allow warm oil to circulate through all hydraulic cylinders and through all hydraulic lines. This will help to warm up the hydraulic components.

Note: In cold weather, the engine power is limited until the engine coolant temperature reaches 17° C (63° F).

    1. During machine operation, frequently look at the indicator lights and the gauges.

An alarm will sound if the parking brake is engaged and the transmission control lever is not in the NEUTRAL position. Disengage the parking brake before you move the transmission control lever from the NEUTRAL position.

Note: When the indicator for the parking brake remains illuminated, the lever is not fully lowered. Make sure that the lever is fully engaging the switch on the bracket for the parking brake. If the lever does not lower all the way, do not operate the machine until the problem is corrected.
