Do not operate the wiper motor before the wiper arm assembly is installed. A new wiper motor is preset in the parked position. If the wiper motor is operated before installation of the wiper arm assembly, misalignment will occur. This can cause damage to the wiper motor, the wiper arm assembly, and/or the window. Do not manually rotate the wiper arm assembly on the shaft. |
- To install wiper motor assembly (18) in the cab, position bracket assembly (27) in front of support assembly (26), as shown.

Illustration 4 g00355929 Show/hide tableNOTICE Push the wiper arm assembly straight onto the tapered shaft. If the wiper arm assembly is not installed straight when the shaft turns, the splines will be improperly formed and damage will occur.

- Install the lock washers and nuts (23). The torque for nuts (23) is
23 ± 1 N·m (17 ± 1 lb ft) .Note: Wait for at least thirty minutes. Then, tighten nuts (23) again to the above torque. Do not wait for more than four hours.
