Transmission Magnetic Screen - Clean

Usage:

446B 5BL

  • Drain the transmission oil. See Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Transmission Oil - Change".

    1. Remove the magnetic strainer cover.

    1. Remove the magnets from the housing.

    1. Remove the screen from the housing.

    1. Wash the tube and the screen in a clean, nonflammable solvent.

      NOTICE

      Do not drop or rap the magnets against any hard objects. Replace any damaged magnets.

    1. Clean the magnets with a cloth, with a stiff bristle brush, or with pressure air.

    1. Install the magnets and the tube assembly into the magnetic screen.

    1. Install the magnetic screen.

    1. Clean the cover and inspect the seal. Replace the seal, if the seal is damaged.

    1. Install the cover. Tighten the cover bolts.

    1. Fill the transmission. See Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Transmission Oil - Change".
