SUBJECT: Transmission Gear Sensor Fault Code

PROBLEM:

A 36-700-02 (Transmission Gear Sensor) fault code is logged which cannot be cleared. This fault code is the result of an error in the engine software.

SOLUTION:

Using Winflash, flash the 233-8688 Engine Software Flash File into the engine ECM. Shut the key switch OFF for 30 seconds and then reconnect ET to the engine control. You will now be able to clear the fault code.
