Problem:
Machines equipped with the Auto-Up Stabilizer Control Mode have reported some cases of intermittent operation. The stabilizer control handles have been reported to lock into detent for the auto-up mode, intermittently.
Solution:
Machines equipped with the Auto-up Stabilizer option that experience this intermittent auto up functionality should remove the 106-8704 Arc Suppressor Diode from the 186-0319 Harness Assembly. Replace the 106-8704 Diode with the 8Y-7833 Jumper Harness. The 106-8704 Diode or the 8Y-7833 Jumper completes the circuit between the A856 Orange wire and the G981 Purple wire. Also, replace the 173-7003 Timer Relay. Remove the 173-7003 Timer Relay from the relay-retaining bracket. Replace the relay and secure the new relay to its connector block using a 6K-0806 strap. (Once the 6K-0806 strap is installed, the relay cannot be re-installed into the relay-retaining bracket). Secure the relay/harness assembly to an existing harness using a 6K-0806 Strap. The 106-8704 Diode is located behind the instrument panel near the 31-pin connector and the relay-retaining bracket.
