NOTE: | This Containment Program can be administered either before or after a failure occurs. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer and service rep. Obtain the service reps Goodwill Approver Code before completing the repair. EAME dealers should use their standard Industry Group specific goodwill approval codes. The Goodwill Approver Code must be included when submitting the claim. |
NOTE: | When reporting the repair, use "PS90515" as the Part Number and "7777" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as Warranty Claim Description and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. If administered after failure, use "96" as Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code. |

PROBLEM
The existing brake charge pump can fail on certain 773G and 775G Off-Highway Trucks due to premature internal bushing failures. |

ACTION REQUIRED
1. Remove all 366-9272 Brake Charge Pumps from dealer parts stock with the following pump serial numbers: XF-01562, XF-01564, XI-00088 and X1-00096 |
1. Remove the 367-1935 Gear Pump (Hoist and Brake). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, 773G and 775G Off-Highway Trucks Machine Systems, KENR9969 "Gear Pump (Hoist, Brake) ? Remove" 2. Disassemble 366-9272 Gear Pump (Brake). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, 773G and 775G Off-Highway Trucks Machine Systems, KENR9969 "Gear Pump (Hoist, Brake) ? Disassemble." 3. Remove the 366-9272 Bushings. Refer to Reuse And Salvage Guidelines, SEHS8428, "Removing and Installing Bushings and Pressure Plates in Hydraulic Gear Pumps". Note, The 8T-9137 Bushing Removal Tool is required to properly remove the bushings from this pump. 4. Install new 455-9314 Bushings. Refer to Reuse And Salvage Guidelines, SEHS8428, "Removing and Installing Bushings and Pressure Plates in Hydraulic Gear Pumps". Note: The 8T-0880 Bushing Installer Group is required to properly install the bushings into this pump. 5. Assemble 366-9272 Gear Pump (Hoist and Brake). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, 773G and 775G Off-Highway Trucks Machine Systems, KENR9969 "Gear Pump (Hoist, Brake) ? Assemble." 6. After the 366-9272 Gear Pump (Brake) has been rebuilt with the new bushings, stamp an X into the metal serial number plate above the pump serial number (1), to designate improved bearings were installed in the rebuilt pump. 7. See the illustration below (1). 8. Install 367-1935 Gear Pump (Hoist and Brake). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, 773G and 775G Off-Highway Trucks Machine Systems, KENR9969 "Gear Pump (Hoist, Brake) ? Install." |
