When reporting the repair, use "PS44822" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code. |

PROBLEM
There have been reports of higher than expected engine soot out levels on certain 563C and 2570C Wheel Feller Bunchers. The high soot rate can lead to a blocked DPF and potentially an engine derate. New software is now available that prevents the high soot out condition. |

ACTION REQUIRED
Before the software flash, ensure that Special Instruction, SEHS0287 has been done. If it has not, then perform SEHS0287 before flashing the new software. Flash the engine ECM with the new software or latest available in SIS web. For flash programming the engine ECM software, refer to troubleshooting, "ECM Software - Install" Note: Ensure the latest version of Cat ET is used when flashing software. Note: If this program is being applied to a machine that has already seen aftertreatment failure codes then ensure that the correct trouble shooting guidelines are followed. Refer to Troubleshooting "Diesel Particulate Filter Collects Excessive Soot". |
