PROBLEM
The 239-0618 Shuttle Valves need to be replaced on certain 725, 725C, 730, 730 Ejector, 730C, and 730C Ejector Articulated Trucks. The shuttle valves are used in the hydraulic systems load sensing circuits on the listed machines. The existing shuttle valves may fail, which may result in reduced functionality or sudden loss of steering capability and may, in conjunction with other factors or circumstances, result in personal injury or death. |

ACTION REQUIRED
1) Inspect all 240-0678 Valve Gp-Main Control in dealer parts stock. If the change level is 11 or below, remove the valve from dealer parts stock. If the change level is 12 or higher, indicated with Valve block stamp of PDC-0120 as identified in Service Magazine SEPD1959 , return the valve to parts stock inventory. |
Improved shuttle valves have been introduced for the listed products. To install the new shuttle valves, carryout the rework procedure detailed in Special Instruction REHS9648 "Procedure to Replace the Shuttle Valves for the Hydraulic System Load Sensing Circuit on Certain Articulated Trucks". |
