Description of Change: The cartridge type fuse, 136-5031 and 8Q-6668 used in the indicator control groups 133-9781, 145-5506, 145-6209, and 138-8560 have been discontinued.

Adaptable To: The machines referenced above. The part number of the control box remains the same, and is a direct replacement for the former control box.

Solution: Current control boxes now have a thermal self re-setting fuse. The new fuse is connected directly to the circuit board of the control box, and is not serviced separately.

If the control box electrical circuit sustain a current spike, or a short, the internal bimetal strip of the fuse will deflect. The circuit will be broken momentarily. If the fuse trips, the operator may detect a momentarily loss of LED indicators on the cab display panel.

If the display does not return to normal operating condition, the machine should be stopped. The machine should not be operated until the system is checked for defects and the problem is corrected.

This is the location of the new fuse.
