Service Installation Of 165-7948 Check Valve {4304}

Usage:


D250E Series II (4PS),
D300E Series II (5KS) Articulated Trucks

The above machines have two 165-7948 Check Valves installed in the steering lines group. The check valves have a flow direction arrow on the outer casing.

When serviced, ensure that check valve (1) is installed with the flow arrow pointing towards tee (5) shown in illustration 1. Ensure the correct sealing arrangement is used.

NOTE: A 3J-1907 Seal is needed.

Installation Procedure

1. Check Valve (1) maybe supplied with 4J-5477 Seal installed in groove (4) shown in Illustration 1. Remove and discard 4J-5477 Seal from the Check Valve (1).

(2) 3J-1907 Seal (supplied with 165-7948 Check Valve)

(3) 3J-1907 Seal

(4) Groove for 4J-5477 Seal (not used)

(5) Tee.

2. Assemble 3J-1907 Seal (3) to Check Valve (1).

3. Assemble Check Valve (1) in position, as shown in Illustration 2. Note that the arrow must be pointing towards Tee (5).

The check valve is located on both the left and right steering cylinders.
