Location of new 162-7473 Seal (1) for the camshaft cover. The new 162-7473 Seal (1) can also be used for the valve cover on EUI engines. Location of the new 169-4834 Seal (2) for the crankshaft cover.

Description of Change: New seals are used in the camshaft cover, crankshaft cover, and valve cover of 3500 and 3500B engines used in these machines. The changes for the new seals include:

* A slightly larger cross section to increase seal compression

* A slightly longer length so they do not need to be stretched for installation.

* A different seal material that is more compatible with engine oil

These changes will help prevent oil leaks.

Adaptable To: The chart identifies the new and former seals and their applications.
