New Pulse Width Modulated Brake Sensor Now Available{4800}

Usage:

AP-1055B (8BM, ABB),
AP-1050B (6ZN),
AP-1000B (7HN),
AP-650B (9DN),
BG-2455C (6TN, ACM),
BG-245C (4XN),
BG-260C (8GN),
BG-225C (5GN) Asphalt Pavers

Description of Change: A new 147-1680 Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) Brake Sensor is used on the above asphalt pavers. The new sensor has improved moisture resistance due to improvements made in the manufacturing process. The new sensor is a direct replacement for the former 9X-5592 PWM Brake Sensor. These changes will provide additional service life.

When servicing the sensor, special attention should be given to the following items:

1. When installing the sensor, 9S-3263 Threadlock should be used on the two 2N-0402 Mounting Bolts.

2. These bolts should be torqued to 2 ± 0.2 N·m (17.7 ± 1.7 lb in).

NOTE: Do not over torque these two bolts, this will distort the sensor and shorten the service life.

3. After installation of the sensor is complete, the propel MPC-10 will need to be recalibrated. Refer to KENR2949 for the MPC-10 calibration.

The new sensor is effective with: AP-1055B (ABB174-Up); AP-1050B (6ZN192-Up); AP-1000B (7HN198-Up); AP-650B (9DN330-Up); BG-2455C (ACM246-Up); BG-245C (4XN120-Up); BG-260C (8GN535-Up); BG-225C (5GN460-Up).

Adaptable To: This new sensor can be used on all lower serial numbers.
