Description of Change: A new pressure switch for activating the brake lights on H series Motor Graders, is now available. The new switch contacts provides a longer service life than the former pressure switches contacts.
Adaptable To: The new 166-7781 Pressure Switch is a direct replacement for the former 2M-9346 Pressure Switch used on early H series Motor Graders. The new switch, along with the 3T-1480 Wire Assembly is also used for service replacement of the former 125-9352 Pressure Switch. Manufacturing effectivities of the new pressure switch on certain motor grader models are listed in the following chart.
One end of the 3T-1480 Wire Assembly has two spade terminals that connect to the stud terminals on the 166-7781 Pressure Switch. The other end of the 3T-1480 Wire Assembly has a two pin SureSeal connector housing, for mating with the existing chassis wiring harness on the motor grader. Note the installation torque of the pressure switch is 22 ± 3 N·m (194.7 ± 26.5 lb in). The installation torque of the stud terminal nuts is 1 ± .2 N·m (8.8 ± 1.8 lb in).
