New Shaft Seals Available For Gear Type Hydraulic Pump Groups To Prevent Leakage {5073}

Usage:

Various Caterpillar Equipment using Gear Type Hydraulic Pump Groups

Typical gear pump group. (1) Lip-Type seal.

New shaft seals are available for gear type hydraulic pump groups. The new shaft seals, rubber coated on the outside diameter of the shell, have an improved lip to withstand higher pressures. These improvements reduce leakage from the shaft seal.

The new 139-3213 Seal is a direct replacement for former 6V-1899 Seal-Lip Type.

The new 139-5900 Seal-Lip Type is a direct replacement for former 5P-9597 Seal-Lip Type, and former 114-1953 Seal-Shaft.

Installation Of New Lip-type Seals

NOTE: Apply a light coating of high temperature grease to the outside diameter of the seals. Install back-to-back with the spring loaded members opposite each other.

------ WARNING! ------

Do not use Loctite® when installing seals.
