Service Manual Module, SENR6717 Caterpillar Monitoring System.

Description of Change: New films with a cutout in the digital display area are available for use with the new glass lens version of the Caterpillar Monitoring System. These films allow better visibility of the digital display.

Adaptable To: Part numbers of the new films are listed in Chart 1 along with corresponding sales models.

The new films are for use with the 141-9780, 146-0734, 150-4280, and 152-2667 Control Groups. As shown in the illustration of the typical Caterpillar Monitoring System, all are main display modules (1).

Previous control groups still require the former films with the clear plastic membrane to prevent scratching of the plastic lens on the Caterpillar Monitoring System. These films are identified in the Service Magazine article referenced above. Chart 2 contains a partial list of machines being produced with the new glass lens along with effective serial numbers.
