New Blade Control Valve Reduces Noise{5136}

Usage:

CP-323 (6JD),
CS-323 (1TM) Vibratory Compactor

A larger capacity blade control valve can be installed in the blade circuit to reduce noise in the circuit and increase service life. The new 7X-8382 Valve Group is available and is adaptable to all usage of the former 077-7187 Valve Group. Follow the procedure below to install the 7X-8382 Valve Group.

Procedure To Install 7X-8382 Valve Group

1. Remove the existing 077-7187 Blade Control Valve Group. Plug all open hoses.

2. Modify existing plate (A) by drilling three holes and increasing the lever opening, as shown in Illustration 2.

Illustration 3. Location Of Parts To Install Blade Valve See Chart A for parts descriptions. (P) Line to hydraulic tank. (Q) Line to rod end of blade cylinders. (R) Line to brake valve. (S) Line to head end of blade cylinders.

3. Install valve group (8) as shown in Illustration 3.

NOTE: The hoses are connected to the same relative ports on the new valve as they were on the former valve.

4. Operate the machine to check for leaks.

5. Adjust the blade relief valves to a pressure setting of 8610 ± 345 kPa (1250 ± 50 psi).
