Improved Prelube Pressure Switch Available {1400,1435,1319}

Usage:

All Caterpillar Machines Using Prelube System

Reference: Special Instruction, Servicing DT Connectors, SEHS9615.

A new pre-lube pressure switch is now available. The new switch provides increased reliability by eliminating the screw terminal and case ground connections.

The new 105-9152 Pressure Switch directly replaces the former 4Q-5451 Pressure Switch except that a Deutsch plug (DT) must be installed on the machine wiring harness. See the chart for parts needed to install the DT plug. See the listed reference material for additional installation instructions. The new 105-9152 Pressure Switch is adaptable to Caterpillar machines using the former 4Q-5451 Pressure Switch which will no longer be available.

NOTE: The former 4Q-5451 Pressure Switch used case ground for one of the conductors. The new 105-9152 Pressure Switch uses two separate conductors. When installing the new Deutsch plug, one of the wires must be connected to a clean engine or frame ground. Use a terminal of the proper size which can be found in the 1P-2305 Terminal Kit and the appropriate length of 5P-5623 Wire for the ground connection.
