Pressure Reducing Valve Has Been Removed From Retarder Control Group To Improve Retarder Response {3122,3120}

Description of Change: The 2U-3903 Pressure Valve (pressure reducing valve) has been removed from the 7U-3880 Retarder Control Group. Removing the 2U-3903 Pressure Valve will improve the retarder response.

Adaptable To: The change to remove the 2U-3903 Pressure Valve from the 7U-3880 Retarder Control Group was in effect with D40D (2JJ101) and D400D (8TF915, 4EJ21) Articulated Trucks. The change can be made to earlier machines by removing the 2U-3903 Pressure Valve, and related hardware shown in Illustration 1, and installing a new 5U-3612 Hose Assembly as shown in Illustration 2.
