Description of Change: New seals are used in the fuel transfer pump group used on the engines in the above machines. These new seals are more resistant to the affects of diesel fuel. The new seals remain pliable, which helps prevent shaft grooving. The new seals will help prevent fuel leaks and provide increased seal and pump life.
Adaptable To: The new 112-3596 Lip-type Seal (2) is a direct replacement for the former 1W-4123 Lip-type Seal. The new 112-3597 Lip-type Seal (1) is a direct replacement for the former 1W-4124 Lip-type Seal. The former seals are canceled. The new seals are part of the 1N-4478 Fuel Transfer Pump Group. The new seals are in effect with 1N-4478 Fuel Transfer Pump Group serial number 10449325. The pump serial number can be found on a plate on the bottom of the pump.
