Service Magazine; November 1, 1993; Page 3; "Servicable Parts Available For Tilt Cylinder Load Control Valve" for IT18B (1DF, 4ZD, 2NJ), IT18F (6ZF, 5EJ, 8GJ), IT28 (8JB), IT28B (1HG, 1JK, 5SD), IT28F (3CL) Integrated Toolcarriers.

One of the affected machines, and several of the product identification number (PIN) prefixes listed in the article are incorrect. The correct list of affected machines and their respective PIN prefixes are: IT18B (1DF, 2NJ), IT18F (5EJ, 8GJ), IT28 (8JB), IT28B (1JK, 5SD) Integrated Toolcarriers.

Also, the part number for the special tool that is required to remove the 2U7353 Retainer was unavailable at the time the article was printed. The 4C8766 Socket Assembly contains two teeth that will fit the two 3.05 X 3.05 mm (.120 X .120 in) slots on the retainer.

Description of Change: Serviceable parts are now available for the load control and check valve groups for the tilt circuit. See the illustrations and charts for the locations and descriptions of the parts.

Adaptable To:

The affected groups include the 9T4744, 9T6893, and 1002821 Load Valve Groups. The serviceable parts mentioned in this article are adaptable to first production for the machines listed.

NOTE: Before disassembling the load control valve for a particular machine, the pressure behind the check valve in each load valve group must be relieved. To relieve the pressure open the 9F2167 Bleeder Screw. To remove the check valve, a deep well spanner socket wrench is required. There are two 3.05 × 3.05 mm (.120 × .120 in) slots in the 2U7353 Retainer to help remove it from the load valve group.
