New Precharge Pressures For Trucks With Two Steering Accumulators{4331}

Usage:

789B (7EK),
793 (3SJ),
793B (1HL) Trucks

Description of Change: The number of accumulator groups per truck has been reduced from three to two. In order to have the same volume of oil in the accumulators for steering, the accumulator precharge pressure must be reduced.

Adaptable To:

See the chart for the new pressures. This change is effective with 789B (7EK1), 793 (3SJ39) and 793B (1HL1) Trucks.

NOTE: It is recommended that the precharge pressure on trucks with two accumulators be checked every 1000 hours to assure that they never drop below the minimum pressure shown in the chart. Precharges below these minimum pressures could damage the accumulator bladder.
