Description of Change: The bolts which hold the A-frame mounting brackets to the rear axle housings are now installed from the top. This allows the torque wrench to be applied to the nuts instead of the bolt heads.
A true torque is obtained in this way. When the torque wrench is applied to the bolt, the bolt tends to twist along its length during tightening so that when the wrench is released, the applied torque relaxes a little.
The illustration shows the new method of mounting.
Adaptable To: The bolts on all listed product can be inverted in this way. No parts are needed. Tighten the nuts to a torque of 360 N·m (265 lb ft).
