Description of Change: New hose clamps are used on several oil hoses on the above machines. See lists for locations. The new clamps use spring-type washers to maintain a constant gripping tension around the hose as it expands and contracts. This minimizes the possibility of loose clamps and oil leakage.

New constant torque hose clamp.

Adaptable To: Each new clamp is a direct replacement for the former clamp. Former clamps are still serviced for other applications. The new and corresponding former clamps are listed in the following lists.

These new clamps must be tightened to a torque of 10 ± 1 N·m (85 ± 8 lb in) to assure that they remain tight after several cycles of heating and cooling. Always use a torque wrench.

The effective clamping ranges of the new clamps are:

...8T4983: 32 to 54 mm (1.3 to 2.1").

...8T6703: 45 to 67 mm (1.8 to 2.6").

...7X7958: 25 to 44 mm (1.0 to 1.7").

...8T4984: 57 to 79 mm (2.3 to 3.1")

...8T4985: 83 to 105 mm (3.3 to 4.1")
