New Hardware Improves Hydraulic And Transmission Tank Group {5056,3177}

Usage:

785, 789 Trucks

Reference: Service Magazine; November 20, 1989; Page 10; "New Bolt And Locknut Used To Hold Baffle Tube Assembly In Hydraulic And Transmission Tank," for 785, 789 Trucks.

Description of Change: New hardware has improved the transmission and hydraulic tank group. The covers on the tank have a new self-locking bolt to prevent loosening of the bolt which could allow the tank to leak. The three sight glass bolts and the bolt next to the drains are the new self-locking bolts also.

Adaptable To: The part number of the improved 4T4147 Hydraulic And Transmission Tank Group has not changed. The new 308535 Bolt (1), for the covers, is a direct replacement for the former OL1351 Bolt. The new 5D0353 Bolt (2), for the sight glasses and drains, is a direct replacement for the former OS1594 Bolt. The new bolts should be installed on earlier trucks whenever the hydraulic tank is opened for service.
