Oil Filter Base

Usage:

Remove Oil Filter Base

1. Remove plug (1) and drain the oil from the oil filter base.

2. Use tool (A) and remove oil filter (2).

3. Remove four bolts (5) that hold the oil filter base to the oil cooler and four bolts (4) that hold the oil filter base to the cylinder block.

4. Disconnect turbocharger oil line (3).

5. Remove oil filter base (6).

Install Oil Filter Base

1. Make sure the O-ring seals are in place on the oil filter base and put oil filter base (1) in position on the oil cooler and the cylinder block.

2. Install four bolts (3) that hold the oil filter base to the cylinder block.

3. Install the four bolts that hold the oil filter base to the oil cooler.

4. Connect turbocharger oil line (2).

5. Install the oil filter on the base.

Disassemble Oil Filter Base

start by:

a) remove oil filter base

1. Remove two covers (1) that hold the valves in the oil filter base.

2. Remove spring (5) and bypass valve (3) for the oil cooler. Remove spring (4) and valve (2) for the oil filter.

Assemble Oil Filter Base

1. Inspect all O-ring seals and make replacements if needed.

2. Install valve (1) and spring (2) for the oil filter.

3. Install cover (3).

4. Install bypass valve (4) and spring (5) for the oil cooler.

5. Install the cover.
