Turbocharger

Usage:

Remove Turbocharger

1. Remove oil supply tube (1) from the turbocharger and oil filter base.

2. Remove two bolts (2) and disconnect oil drain tube (3) from the turbocharger.

3. Remove two bolts (5) and nuts and remove support (6) and coupling (7) from the turbocharger.

4. Inspect the rings on coupling (7) for damage and make replacements if needed.

5. Remove four bolts (8) and nuts and remove turbocharger (4) from the exhaust manifold.

6. Remove oil drain tube (3).

Install Turbocharger

1. Inspect all gaskets and O-ring seal for damage and make replacements if needed.

2. Put clean oil on O-ring seal (2) and install oil drain tube (1).

3. Put clean oil on O-ring seals (3). Connect turbocharger (4) to the inlet pipe and put it in position on the exhaust manifold.

4. Install the gasket between the turbocharger and the exhaust manifold. Put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of the bolts and install the bolts and nuts that hold the turbocharger to the exhaust manifold. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 40 ± 4 lb.ft. (55 ± 5 N·m).

5. Install coupling (7) and support (6). Put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of the bolts and install bolts (5) and nuts that hold the support to the exhaust manifold.

6. Put the gasket in place between oil drain tube (1) and the turbocharger. Install the two bolts that hold the oil drain tube to the turbocharger.

7. Put the gasket in place between oil supply tube (8) and the turbocharger. Install oil supply tube (8).
