Fuel Injection Pump Housing And Governor (Earlier And Later)

Usage:

Install Fuel Injection Pump Housing And Governor (Earlier And Later)

1. Fasten a nylon strap and a hoist to the fuel injection pump housing. Put fuel injection pump housing and governor (1) in position on the fuel injection pump and governor drive housing.

2. Install bolts (3) that hold the fuel injection pump housing to the fuel injection pump and governor drive. Install bolts (2) and (4) that hold the fuel injection pump housing to the cylinder block.

3. Install bracket (5) to the governor housing.

4. Remove caps and plugs and connect fuel injection lines (8) to the fuel injection pump housing. Tighten the fuel line nuts to a torque of 30 ± 5 lb.ft. (40 ± 7 N·m) with tool (C).

5. Connect fuel lines (6) and (7) to the fuel injection pump housing.

6. Remove tool (A) from the fuel injection pump housing. Remove the timing bolt from the flywheel. Remove the timing bolt from the flywheel. Turn the crankshaft two complete revolutions clockwise (as seen from the front of the engine) and check the timing to see that the timing is correct. If the timing is not correct, see REMOVE FUEL INJECTION PUMP HOUSING AND GOVERNOR for the timing procedure.

7. Remove tool (A) from the pump housing. Install the plug in the pump housing.

8. Remove the timing bolt from the flywheel and install the plug.

9. Install the cover that was removed to install tool (B).

b) install fuel shutoff solenoid
