start by:

a) remove oil cooler

1. Disconnect oil line (1) and remove oil line (4).

2. Remove nuts (2) and oil filter base (3).

Install Oil Filter Base

1. Put filter base (2) in place on engine and install nuts that hold it to engine.

2. Connect oil line (1) and install other oil line.

end by:

a) install oil cooler

Disassemble Oil Filter Base

start by:

a) remove oil filter base

1. Remove cover (6), spring (4) and plunger (2) for oil filter bypass valve.

2. Remove cover (5), spring (3), and plunger (1) for oil cooler bypass valve.

Assemble Oil Filter Base

1. Install plunger, spring and cover for oil cooler bypass valve.

2. Install plunger (1), spring (2) and cover (3) for oil filter bypass valve.

end by:

a) install oil filter base.
