Usage:
Start By:
a. remove front or rear slack adjuster
NOTE: The disassembly and assembly procedure for the front and rear slack adjusters is the same.

Housings (1) and (7) hold a spring under compression. To prevent possible personal injury, carefully remove the housings. |

1. Remove housing (1) from base (6).
2. Remove spring (3).
3. Remove piston (5) from housing (1).
4. Follow Steps 1 through 3 for the other housing (7).
5. Check the condition of O-ring seals (2) and (4).
NOTE: The following steps are for assembly of the slack adjuster.
6. Make a replacement of O-ring seals (2) and (4) if worn and damaged.
7. Install piston (5) in housing (1).
8. Put spring (3) in position on piston (5).
9. Install the housing on base (6).
10. Follow Steps 5 through 8 for the other side (7) of the slack adjuster.
