Slack Adjuster (Front)

Usage:

Remove & Install Slack Adjuster (Front)

1. Drain the oil from the front brake master cylinder and rotochamber.


Plate removed for photographic purposes.

2. Disconnect hoses (1), (3) and (4) from the slack adjuster.

3. Remove the two bolts and slack adjuster (2) from the frame.

NOTE: The following steps are for installation of the slack adjuster.

4. Put slack adjuster (2) in position on the frame, and install the two bolts that hold it.

NOTE: Hose (1) is from the right front wheel brake. Hose (3) is from the left front wheel brake. Hose (4) is from the front brake master cylinder and rotochamber.

5. Connect hoses (1), (3) and (4) to slack adjuster (2).

6. Bleed the air from the brake system. See The Systems Operations/Testing & Adjusting and the topic "Remove Air From The Hydraulic Brake System (Bleed The Brakes) for the correct procedure.
